Dogbulb, or Dogbulb Productions, has been my freelance DBA since around 2007. I got the name from watching the "Mr. Sparkle/FishBulb" episode of the Simpsons and needing a business name for a project I had coming up. This was a throwaway idea, but after having a bizarre dream about a 'dogbulb' I decided I might as well run with it.

I've been running with it for over fifteen years and have even used it as a personal brand to consolidate my online presence when I was working a full-time position somewhere rather than freelance. A fun fact that I discovered after a few years was that Dogbulb is very similar to a part of the male dog's anatomy right around the base of their dick, their bulbus glandis. Fair warning, that link goes straight dog dong.

As a marketing company, I just told people who discovered the happy coincidence it was because my company would make their business shoot off like a red rocket. It's crass, but it's not wrong. Just like me.
